back here.. I started browsing a bit... some street, some portraits and a million of naked, beautiful looking women... well, boobs and vaginas too, I admit it. it's fun.. and we're all hormone-controlled beings after all.

what i find very interesting though are some of the comments underneath a lot of nude photographs.. just one example:

A: "Am I the only one that sees one breast is higher than the other?"
- reply to A: "The beauty of natural beauty, no one two things are exactly alike."

different photo, same model:

B: "I love this shot! Her pose is nice and natural. The lighting is nice and soft.
This is what you would see if you were on intimate terms with her."

I find the use of the word "natural" interesting in that context, because the model clearly has had something called a "boob job".
Also the usage of "intimate" in a clearly studio-lit room situation with a model knowing how to pose and look couldn't be more off and away of real life. It shows how people dream of being in certain situations and project these like in such photographs, showing that they don't know what they're talking about.

I am not saying that "Terry's World" is what it looks like either... but it is much less fake and more to the point and not just a stupid excuse to photograph a naked woman.

In general how people 'read' artworks on DA has always been a mirror of a certain part of society, mostly a mix of teenagers, internet addicts, nerds, artists, photographers etc.

And that will be the crowd that comments, rates, favs and decides how this website will look to the outside. It's the nation deviantart and it is a democracy with it's rules and laws and people.

After gaining a lot of distance to DA in the last ~5years of my absence, I feel much more like an observer than a part or member which makes browsing and using this website interesting in a new, more anonymous way - unlike in my 'popular' times here.

and of course I will pretty much always comment or write about DA only in my journal, that's how things work.

cheers! it's funny to be back here again. don't expect 'coxi' though ha!

You sir, are one of my biggest inspirations in photography! I just started doing street photography here in my hometown Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I always loved to explore my city and document it but until recently it was mostly urban exploring and architecture... But somehow I felt something was missing, and I soon noticed it was the interaction of the environment with the people living in it. I started taking pictures of strangers which felt awkward to do, but then I saw some videos featuring you and it opened my eyes...

Blending in with the environment seems to be good to do, and I am getting more comfortable now. You can take a look on some of my photos I uploaded recently if you want.

Greetings!
