When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

From May till November 2007 i had to serve the Austrian Army (mandatory service).
It was on one of my last days as a soldier. I had the unique chance to fly with a helicopter over Vienna. We launched right in the middle of the city and took a round flight above the inner city. The shot itself was tricky to expose (outside f5.6 1/1000th and inside f2.8 1/125th so 5 steps difference). I chose 5.6 and 250th. To print i needed to cut an extra stencil to burn the area of the window showing the view outside. Taken with a Leica M6 Rangefinder camera (90's) and a 35mm f2.0 Summicron (60's) Leitz lens attached. Exposed on Kodak 400TX, developed in Kodak Xtol (1:1). Handmade darkroom print on Agfa MC glossy FB (fiber based) Paper. Size 12x16in. All you see is analogue. Print avaiable in various sizes, signed and numbered. ps: ignore the exif, it's the camera i used to digitalize the print Daily DeviationGiven 2009-08-26Suggester says: "It is nice to see some traditional (analogue) photography, particularly when the artis is as skilled at his craft as *coxi. This view from a helicopter truly enchanted me, and the skill with which he brought out the outside world is fantastic!" above vindobona by *coxi |
