Another shot of on of my stays in Berlin this year.
I saw this classy looking man waiting alone in this auditorium. Wearing all black myself that day, i blocked the reflection by just standing right in front of him. Focused and waited for his reaction and released when he looked at me.
Taken with a Leica M6 Rangefinder camera (90's) and a 35mm f2.0 Summicron (60's) Leitz lens attached.
Exposed on Kodak 400TX, developed in Kodak Xtol (1:1).
Handmade darkroom print on Agfa MC glossy FB (fiber based) Paper. Size 12x16in.
(ferrotype glossed finish)
All you see is analogue.
Print avaiable in various sizes, signed and numbered.
ps: ignore the exif, it's the camera i used to digitalize the print
I think you're so brave to take photos of random people. I'd be too scared to make them angry! But it's definitely worth it when you get photographs like these, so beautiful in it's mundane-ness.
*you are right. it is the main goal. but to be honest: there are so many people out there right now. taking pictures. uploading them. and you get overwhelmed by artists and emotions. and i literally lost the overview...so often pictures look the same. telling the same story. they are good photos, no doubt. but i just can't remember details or where i actually saw the image or who even the artist was...that is i guess what i actually wanted to tell you...your work here will stuck in my mind forever. i really like it a lot.*
Berlin...
i just had a quick look in your gallery - can't wait to look more closely !°
